Kia ora tatou,
It’s been two years of Floating Rock doing the mahi and making magic happen, and we are so grateful to everyone who has helped bring this dream to life. Floating Rock has worked on some amazing projects these past two years, from the undead to dinosaurs to a cockroach and so much more. We were hiamo (thrilled) to take this opportunity to go away with the team to celebrate this milestone together!
It’s been a hard grind these past two years getting to where we are now, but seeing what we’ve accomplished makes it all worth it. Some of Floating Rock’s biggest accomplishments include the Aotearoa famous Air New Zealand safety video, where we brought birds to life. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn announcement trailer is one of our favourite projects to date. Magic companion, an undead army, super badass female main character, who wouldn’t want to work on this? We’ve also worked on many cute little critters for different commercials and even a not-so-cute cockroach.
To celebrate this milestone we took the team and their partners for a wonderful weekend getaway to Himatangi Beach! Where we had cake, got our first Floating Rock crew gear, turned some of us into balloons, shot some fireworks, relaxed, and had a lovely time team building. Maintaining a happy, healthy, and thriving team of amazing people is incredibly important to us. We feel so lucky to be able to spend this time with everyone away from the office.
It has been the happiest, hardest working, and most rewarding two years and we couldn't have done it without the help of so many amazing people. Thank you so much to Aman, Blair, Catriona, Elliott, Ezmae, Garrick, Ibrahim, Irina, Kasey, Kate, Laurent, Lukas, Mahamadou, Matt, Mélanie, Morgan, Puneeth, Rafael, Ruby, Simon, Stephanie, Stuart, Sidney, Umesh, Vivek and everyone else!
